Carenza – Filipino martial arts

Carenza – Filipino martial arts

This is what they call Carenza in Filipino martial arts. (Kali/Arnis).
It’s another form of shadow boxing, or Kata if you like.
I don’t get caught up in the names. To me, it all means one thing…Self-practice!
Carenza is used for solo training in Kali/Arnis and requires self-discipline, visualization, and creation.

I am using real Machetes here.
In the Filipino martial arts, It’s common practice to train with rattens (sticks) –  though It’s one thing to practice with the lightweight sticks, and it’s another to practice with the real thing. The body mechanics are different, the momentum is different and the weight is different.
I use double and single blades here.
Check it out.
